On Saturday February 6, we did an
organized (or should I say, ‘disorganized’) day trip to Warwick Castle and
Oxford. The sites were beautiful, but the company was not so great, and our already short 3 hours in Oxford was cut down to 2 hours. We got there late and the bus drivers parked in a random parking lot far
away from the city centre, forcing us to pay for transportation there. Despite
this, we had a great time exploring the castle and an amazing time in Oxford.
We were so lucky to have one of our McMaster frosh leaders from first year, Michael Hewlett, to show us around. He is doing a Master’s there, and was very knowledgeable
about the school and even incorporated some awesome Harry Potter filming
locations into our tour! Oxford was one of the most beautiful and interesting cities we have seen so far, I just wish we had more time there!!
